Make a change today!
We all have the capabilities to live life better!
Below are listed some of the risks we all face when we neglect our wellbeing. Why not minimise these by taking more notice of your nutrition. Do you eat regularly? Are your portions the right size to fuel your body without overloading it? Do you enjoy your meals?
Eating well can be perceived to be an expensive affair, but there are so many ways we can make savings and maintain a healthy diet. Have you tried using frozen fruit and veg to diversify your meals? What about tinned pulses? Why not cook a bigger batch when you have the time and freeze meals so that they are ready during a busy period? And have you checked out the supermarket fresh food bargains at the end of the day?
Making a change is within your power. Aspire to eat better and move more. Try different things, learn from what doesn’t work and keep up what makes a difference to you. Every little helps so set yourself realistic goals:
- Move your body on a regular basis to reach at least 30 minutes of activity each day
- Start cooking your own meals to save money and have a bit of fun
- Organise your week to have enough time to shop and cook to always have a delicious and nutritious meal at hand
- Be inclusive and adventurous with your ingredients to incorporate more fruit, vegetables, herbs and spices into your diet
Don’t wait till the beginning of the week or a new month or a new year. We all have the capabilities. We may need encouragement or advice, but don’t let that stop you from starting to live a healthier life today.
